Terminology and Why It Matters


This one-hour class reviews clinical definitions of commonly used diagnostic terms that are routinely, though often errantly, used by both practitioners and researchers. Reasons for why using clear and accurate diagnostic terminology are described. The course also describes a practical tool used to help differentiate pain from nociceptive and neuropathic sources.
